I don’t usually “do” seascapes, probably down to the fact that living in Sheffield I’m probably about as far from the coast as you can get in the UK. The weather in July in the Outer Hebrides was not great. When we arrived at Hosta Beach in North Uist there was cold haar lingering over the beach and the land – but the sea still had some lovely colours in it that I couldn’t resist. I’ve been an admirer of David Baker’s work since I first came across him many years ago and his subsequent book “Seafever” and I thought a little homage was appropriate.
You can see more of my work from the Outer Hebrides here.
