There had been a bit of snow, but not enough to gather and lie on the ground.  It was however bitterly cold when I ventured at first up on to Stanage Edge in Peak District and then worked my way down beneath the edge in to the hinterland that is strewn with millstones.  (See here for more information).  The cloud continued to lay low with small puffs working their way below me.
