The day’s first light touches this lone tree situated on a limestone pavement near Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. This was only a few moments drive from my first location of the day, but there was the added jumping over a wall and getting caught on a fence (squeak!) in my rush to get to the spot.

For those who searched the internet looking for the location of the “Lone Tree” at Malham and arrived at this page, here is a map below to help you!  There is a small place to pull in about 100 yards up the road from where you can see the tree.
